Getting started
How do I start working with Truly India?
Simply get in touch via our trade enquiry form or contact us directly. There is no formal registration process, we will have an introductory conversation, understand your business and client base, and take it from there. Most partnerships begin with a first enquiry.
Does Truly India work with all types of travel businesses?
We work with tour operators, luxury travel advisors, and corporate MICE buyers. We do not sell directly to end travellers, and our entire operation is structured around supporting the trade. If you are a travel professional working with discerning clients who are interested in India and the Subcontinent, we want to hear from you.
Is there a minimum booking volume required to work with Truly India?
No. We do not impose minimum booking thresholds. Whether you send us one journey a year or fifty, every enquiry receives the same level of care and attention.
Proposals & pricing
How quickly can I expect a proposal after submitting a brief?
For most enquiries, we turn around an initial proposal within 24 to 48 hours. Complex multi-destination itineraries or group programmes may require a little longer. If a brief is time-sensitive, let us know and we will prioritise accordingly.
Do you offer nett rates or commissionable rates?
We offer both. Partners can choose to work on nett rates and apply their own mark-up, or on commissionable rates with commission paid on invoice. We discuss the preferred model at the start of each partnership and remain flexible as the relationship develops.
Can proposals be white-labelled under our brand?
Yes, all proposals, itineraries, and travel documents we produce can be fully white-labelled for your brand. Your clients see only your identity. Our role as ground operator stays entirely in the background.
How detailed are your proposals?
Our proposals include a full day-by-day itinerary, accommodation recommendations, experience highlights, clear inclusions and exclusions lists, and a 'no hidden charges' pricing table. They are designed to be client-ready with minimal additional work from your end.
Can we request alternatives or amendments to a proposal?
Absolutely, we treat the proposal as the start of a conversation, not a final offer. We encourage refinement as per your client's needs. Refinement is part of the process.
Bookings & operations
How are bookings confirmed?
Once a proposal is approved and a deposit received, we issue a formal booking confirmation along with a detailed pre-departure document for your client. All supplier confirmations are held by Truly India and shared on request.
What are your payment terms?
We typically require a deposit of 10 to 30 percent at the time of booking, with the balance due 45 to 60 days before the journey begins. For bookings made within 60 days of travel, full payment is required at the time of confirmation. Payment terms for group and MICE programmes are agreed separately.
What is your cancellation and amendment policy?
Cancellation charges apply on a sliding scale from the time of booking to the travel date, in line with standard industry practice. Amendment fees depend on the nature of the change and how close to travel it is made. Full details are provided in our booking terms, which accompany every confirmed booking.
Who is the on-ground contact during a client's journey?
Every Truly India journey has a named on-ground contact whose details are provided to both the partner and the client before travel. This person is reachable directly throughout the programme and is the first point of escalation for any on-ground issue. A WhatsApp group is created with our senior staff and the traveller or tour leader directly, so no request is too small and nothing is missed.
Support & partnership
Do you offer familiarisation trips for our team?
Yes, we regularly invite trade partners to experience our destinations firsthand. FAM trips are arranged based on availability and are offered to established and prospective partners. Speak to your Truly India contact about upcoming opportunities.
What marketing and sales support is available?
We provide marketing collateral including destination imagery, itinerary templates, copy, and social media kits. We also offer destination training and product briefings for your team, in person or virtually, and are happy to join client-facing presentations where useful.
Can Truly India join client presentations or trade shows with us?
Yes, where logistics allow. We are happy to support partners at client events, trade shows, and destination evenings. Get in touch to discuss what is possible.
Does Truly India have a preferred booking or communication platform?
We work by email and direct communication, no proprietary booking platform is required. All proposals, confirmations, and documents are exchanged by email, and a direct WhatsApp line is available for urgent on-ground matters during a client's journey.
What happens if something goes wrong on the ground?
Our on-ground teams are experienced and empowered to resolve issues directly, without passing problems back to the partner or waiting for instructions. We contact the relevant partner promptly, advise on what has happened and what we are doing about it, and follow up with a full debrief after the journey. We do not disappear when things get difficult.
